Snow and Ice in Texas

Yes, it snowed... not much, but it did snow! When the puppies went out this morning to do their business, they tentatively walked out on the crunching sheet of ice and stopped... didn't know what to make of this new feeling! Everything is a big block of ice right now, and Fort Worth has shut down!

Here's me... my senior portrait. I'm having fun on Facebook getting reconnected with people from my high school, some I knew, some I didn't. And it's reminding me of so many incredible memories. Those were great (and interesting) times... Vietnam, war protests, civil rights movement, hippies and flower children, sit-ins and streaking, rock and roll, VW bugs, long hair, drugs and counter-culture, Monterey Pop Festival and Woodstock, pop-art, Twiggy, women's liberation, Laugh-In. Those were the days!

A Taste of Old Town Americana

I discovered this little hamburger stand about 15 minutes from what will be my new home of Joshua... a still functioning, tiny little hamburger stand. The size inside is about the size of my bathroom, with a cook behind a grill and two stools at the grill bar. I love discovering these "remember when" images.

Strep Throat?

Yup... I didn't get better after all, I GOT WORSE!!! How is that possible? So after being in bed for a couple days, I'm back at work, hoping I can make it through the day. But so far I feel pretty good, and it's been a couple hours!

The Flu

I (think) I'm finally getting over my flu bug... but this is ridiculous... about two weeks and counting on this one! This is the first year EVER I've gotten a flu shot, and look what happens. Any connection there... coincidence... any thoughts anyone? It may be my last flu shot.
